Authentic
In a world of infinite competition and online noise, we believe that the best marketing is rooted genuine authenticity. That thing that is going to make someone stop scrolling, reach out to your business, or visit your shop, isn’t going to be the prettiest graphic or catchiest tagline (although those things matter too). It’s going to be human connection — to you, to your business, to your mission.
Heart-centered
We do what we do because we genuinely love to support small business owners and entrepreneurs. There is something so special about having a dream, and having the courage to create that space, or that service, or that experience. We’re a small business too — this is our passion, and you’ll feel that in how we serve our clients and all of the work we do. We’ll be your #1 fans.
Creative
We’re the grown up version of the kids at the craft table. You give us some sparkles, some feathers, some beads, and we’ll use our creativity to make something great. Whether it’s for our clients, for ourselves, or outside of the office, we’re always dreaming up new ideas, making something special, or staying up late in our hobby rooms working on whatever sounds fun.
Organization nerds
We’re reclaiming the word nerd, because this one we’re proud of. We are obsessed with organization and project management. Yes, really. We are total organization nerds. We are one part marketers, and one part project managers — we’ll infuse structure and routine into everything we do. You’ll always know the plan, and we’re on top of things 100% of the time (because we couldn’t be any other way).
● Founder Story
We’ve always been headed here
Took our first sociology class and realized we had a passion for understanding human behavior and using our creativity to help others.
2012Got our first job at a small startup doing HR & Marketing and learned a lot about building an impactful company from the ground up.
2018Won “Best Booth” at a conference with over 50,000 attendees for a totally out-of-the box concept and realized that ditching the marketing blueprint works.
2019Landed a Marketing Manager job at an agency and fell in love with serving clients on a deeper level, working with small businesses, and having more ownership.
2022Founded Magnetica with the goal of exclusively serving small businesses, specializing in authentic marketing, and fostering a safe space of creativity and joy.

Riley
Owner & MarketerRiley is your one-stop-shop for all things marketing. She has been a generalist her entire career, and her expertise spans all marketing channels. She runs Magnetica, and makes all the marketing magic happen.
Nova
Chief of sassNova’s position is simple: keep the rest of the team in line. If anyone is falling short, Nova has a wicked right cross, and isn’t afraid to give them a slap. If you see her booty front and center in Zoom calls, please disregard. Unfortunately, she is also HR.
Bean
Chief of snugglesBean has a heart of gold, and the napping ability of a dog 4x his age. His position is to provide love and comfort to a very busy team. Whether Riley needs a hug, or Nova needs someone to take her sass out on, Bean is there — ready to help.

Queer & neurodivergent owned, we know a little thing about the pressure to fit in. We’ve heard that there’s a right way to do marketing, an algorithm for “success” — but we’re not convinced. As a team that’s motivated by adversity and fueled by individuality, our commitment to you is to always understand your business first, and apply marketing principals second.
